My experience with Benita was awesome!! She was very patient with me because I knew nothing about buying a house. She would send me houses to look at daily, and always made time to go with me to look at houses that I found myself. My experience with Belinda Scott was not positive. As a buyer, my opinion is that her efforts as a sellers representative was minimal and single-handedly prevented the possible sale of a home. We have been looking for a farmhouse for five years. And we finally found our dream home. It was beautiful, it was perfect. I called the listing agent, Benita Scott, and asked for a showing. She replied, 'That's not my listing'. When I stated that she was named as the listing agent, she then replied, 'I'm in Raleigh. I'm not driving an hour and half to show a house'. I asked if there was someone that could, she said she'd call me back in five minutes. Two hours later, when I still had not heard back, I reached back out to Ms. Scott, finally receiving an answer another 35 mins later that she has no one to show the home. As we hung up, I was asked if I had a loan pre-approval letter, I stated the purchase would be cash, and Ms. Scott replied, 'Ok.' We found a realtor on our own. We attempted to make an offer. Ms. Scott requested an official letter from my bank, stating that I have the money to cover my offer. I responded that what I have in my account is personal information and I would not be giving that out, however, they have my word that I have cash on hand and do fully plan to close on the home. Ms. Scott then refused to pass the offer to the sellers. We wanted this home, but should not have to divulge information that makes us uncomfortable or be told that my word is not enough. I can also say, for myself, I would want a realtor that puts more effort into selling my home.

Benita was referred to us by a family friend she previously helped find a home. We were looking to relocate to NC so a knowledgeable realtor we could trust was a must. That's exactly what we got with Benita. Before we even started looking at houses, Benita walked us through the differences between buying a home where we lived and in NC. She explained the different terms we would hear, financial considerations from county to county, etc. She also continuously refined her searches to include different features we mentioned we liked or disliked as we looked at homes, without any prompting form us. She was incredibly detailed, flexible, and patient, which helped us to a find a home much quicker than expected (especially given how tight the market was at the time). All in all, it was a great experience. Thank you, Benita!

At first, my opinion of Benita was in the negative. I was extremely frustrated during the buying experience, but Benita stayed professional. She has continued to be a big help even after we closed. She was just what I needed even when I didn’t know that myself. I highly recommend you using her for your needs. You won’t regret it.
